  • The theme of MSME Day 2023 in India is "Future-Ready MSMEs for India@100".
  • The Global Council for the Promotion of International Trade celebrates the day with the theme "Building a Stronger Future Together".
  • The United Nations (UN) designated June 27 as Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Day and this was done through a resolution passed in the United Nations General Assembly in April 2017.
  • In May 2017, a program titled 'Enhancing National Capabilities to Unleash the Full Potential of MSMEs in Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Developing Countries'was launched.
