NITI Aayog, in collaboration with UNDP, organized a one-day workshop on the National Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI). Representatives from 30 states, the central government, UN agencies, and think tanks participated. The workshop was chaired by NITI Aayog Vice-Chairman Suman K. Bery, where experts highlighted the importance of MPI in poverty eradication, sustainable development goals, and better governance. Discussions focused on data-driven decision-making in social security schemes, the technical methodology of MPI, and the “Leave No One Behind” (LNOB) analysis.
