Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan took over as Chief of Staff of the Eastern Naval Command.
He commanded the Eastern Fleet at Visakhapatnam from Feb 2020 to Feb 2021.
He has served as Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor at the National Defence Academy before becoming Chief of Staff, ENC, upon promotion to the rank of Vice-Admiral.
