Uttarakhand Chief Minister (CM) Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that his government will implement the Uniform Civil Code in the state soon.
This is arguably the first major announcement by Dhami after being reelected as the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand.
Goa has been following the Portuguese Civil Code, 1867 which is also called Uniform Civil Code
