Legendary sarod exponent Ustad Amjad Ali Khan conferred the Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia Lifetime Achievement Award.
He has also been awarded the Padma Vibhushan, India's second highest civilian honor, in 2001.
On the occasion of the award ceremony, 75 artists led by Vivek Sonar of Gurukul Pratishthan also performed a flute symphony dedicated to 75 years of India's independence.
