Bhattacharya was nominated by former US President Donald Trump in November last year and will work alongside Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to advance medical research.
In addition to being a professor of health policy, Bhattacharya is associated with several prominent institutions at Stanford University. He is also a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and a senior fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research.
