Shri Manohar Lal, Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, launched “Angikaar 2025” in New Delhi on 4 September 2025. The nationwide campaign, running from 4 September to 31 October 2025, is part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 (PMAY-U 2.0) and will cover more than 5,000 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) across India. Angikaar 2025 seeks to raise awareness about PMAY-U 2.0, fast-track application verification and housing completion, and promote the Credit Risk Guarantee Fund Trust for Low Income Housing (CRGFTLIH). It also aims to ensure last-mile delivery of benefits by converging with schemes such as PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, with special focus on supporting vulnerable groups.
