Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the newly built Lachit Borpukhan Police Academy in Dergaon, Assam.
The academy is equipped with advanced training infrastructure and modern technology. He also laid the foundation stone for the residential complex of the academy.
During this event, the Union Home Minister paid tribute to Lachit Borpukhan, who defended Assam against the Mughals.
