The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved the development of Venus Orbiter Mission (VOM), which will be a significant step towards the Government's vision of exploration and study of Venus beyond Moon and Mars.
The Union Cabinet approved the Venus Orbiter Mission (VOM) with a ₹1,236 crore budget for a March 2028 launch, led by ISRO, to explore Venus's surface, atmosphere, and its evolutionary ties with Earth.
