  • The Union Cabinet approved Rs. 35,000 crore for the continuation of the Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan (PM-AASHA) scheme, integrating the Price Support Scheme (PSS), Price Stabilization Fund (PSF), Price Deficit Payment Scheme (PDPS), and Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) to enhance effectiveness and support farmers.
  • Starting from the 2024-25 season, the PM-AASHA scheme will procure 25% of national production of notified pulses, oilseeds, and copra at Minimum Support Price (MSP), with a 100% procurement planned for Tur, Urad, and Masur to mitigate distress sales.
