Ukraine has developed the FP-5 Flamingo, a long-range cruise missile with a range of 3,000 km and a 1,150 kg warhead, making it one of the heaviest in its class. Powered by an Ivchenko AI-25 turbofan, it cruises at 850–900 km/h with GPS/GNSS guidance and a Circular Error Probable (CEP) of about 14 meters. Though large and non-stealthy, the missile’s destructive payload enables strikes on major infrastructure across Russia. Initial production is one per day, with plans to scale up. The Flamingo reflects Ukraine’s push for cost-effective, scalable weapons to boost deep-strike capabilities.
