  • Finance Secretary Tuhin Kanta Pandey has been appointed as the chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), succeeding Madhabi Puri Buch, whose term ends on February 28.
  • The appointment is for a term of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, starting from the date of assuming office.
