  • Three greats of the game have become the latest people to be inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.
  • West Indies great Shivnarine Chanderpaul, England Women’s team legend Charlotte Edwards and Pakistan legend Abdul Qadir become inductees number 107, 108 and 109 respectively.
  • Pakistan spinner Qadir joins the ranks following an illustrious career that saw him appear in 67 Test matches and 104 ODI games for his country over a 13-year period.
  • Edwards was the leading women’s run-scorer from any nation in the history of both ODI and T20 cricket and the 42-year-old remains the record run-scorer in both ODIs and T20Is for England.
  • Edwards captained England to success at the 50-over World Cup in Australia at the start of the year.
  • Chanderpaul played international cricket even longer than Edwards and the West Indies great certainly did enough during his 21-year career to show he belongs in the ICC Hall of Fame.
  • He scored a total of 11867 Test runs, hit 30 Test centuries and maintained an average in excess of 50, finishing with 51.37.
