JN1 is a new sub-variant of Coronavirus.
The first case of this sub-variant was reported in the country in December 2023.
This case has been found in Kerala.
According to the Union Health Ministry, a case of COVID-19 sub-variant JN1 has been found in a 79-year-old woman from Kerala.
According to Rajiv Jayadevan, chairman of the National Indian Medical Association Covid Task Force, 'JN1 is a severely immunocompromised and rapidly spreading variant.
This is X.B.B. And it is clearly different from all earlier variants of this virus.
This variant is capable of infecting those who have previously had Covid infection and have received anti-corona vaccines.
