  • Indian Navy participates in Exercise Cutlass Express 24, INS Teer, lead ship of 1st Training Squadron (1TS) participated in Exercise Cutlass Express - 24 (CE - 24) held at Port Victoria, Seychelles from 26 Feb to 08 Mar 24.
  • The exercise was inaugurated in the presence of President of Seychelles along with dignitaries from India, US and African countries. As part of the Cutlass Express, the Indian Navy has been actively engaged with participants from 16 friendly foreign countries. 
  • Training was conducted on theoretical and practical aspects of maritime interception operations, visit board search and seizure procedures and diving operations. During the sea phase, the vessel's VBSS team boarded the Seychelles Coast Guard (SCG) ship LE Vigilant and performed the procedures of boarding operation. Indian divers undertook joint diving expedition followed by rigorous training week with divers from USA and Seychelles. 
  • The exercise included training on theoretical and practical aspects of maritime interception operations, visit board search, seizure procedures, and diving operations.
