  • Tamilisai Soundararajan, serving as both the Governor of Telangana and the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, has tendered her resignation to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, according to reports.
  • Soundararajan's resignation was submitted to the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, indicating her intention to participate in the electoral process. It is speculated that she may contest either from Tamil Nadu or Puducherry.
  • Soundararajan was the Tamil Nadu BJP chief till 2019. In September 2019, he was appointed as the Governor of Telangana.
