Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia inaugurated Fly91, a regional airline, and flagged off its maiden flight from Manohar International Airport, Goa, to Agatti Islands, Lakshadweep.
The UDAN scheme aims to connect tier 2 and tier 3 cities, with a goal of boosting domestic air traffic to 30 crores by 2030.
Scheduled flights by Fly91 will commence from March 18, 2024, connecting Manohar International Airport, Goa, with various cities including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Jalgaon, Agatti, Pune, and Nanded.
The expansion of air connectivity through the UDAN scheme will enhance tourism, promote trade and commerce, and offer an affordable, safe, and hassle-free travel experience.
The event was attended by Fly91 Chairman Shri. Harsha Raghavan, Shri Asangba Chuba Ao, Jt. Secretary MoCA, and other officials from AAI and the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
