The Edelgive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2023 was released in November, 2023.
According to this list HCL Technologies founder and chairman Shiv Nadar is India's largest philanthropist.
Shiv Nadar donates Rs 5.6 crore every day.
He has donated a total of Rs 2,042 crore so far in the financial year – 2023.
Wipro chief Azim Premji is the second largest donor in the country.
He has donated Rs 1774 crore in the year 2023.
Mukesh Ambani is at third place in this list.
Kumar Mangalam Birla is the fourth largest donor in the country.
Zerodha's Nikhil Kamath has emerged as the youngest philanthropist in the list.
He is at 12th position in this list.
Rohini Nilekani tops among women donors.
His rank is 10th.
