  • MARTYRS' Day or Shaheed Diwas is observed every year across the country.
  • Every year, India celebrates the special occasion of Martyr’s Day on March 23, to pay tribute to the brave hearts who sacrificed their lives for the country.
  • The trio including Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar lost their lives on March 23 in 1931 during the struggle for India's independence and that day in history is celebrated as Martyrs' Day. 
  • March 23, 2023, will mark the 92nd death anniversary of these brave men.
  • January 30th is observed as Martyr's Day or Shaheed Diwas in memory of Mahatma Gandhi.
