India's flamboyant wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant has become the fastest Indian wicketkeeper to take 100 Test wickets on the third day of the first Test against South Africa at Centurion's SuperSport Park.
Rishabh Pant has broken the record held by Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Wriddhiman Saha for most Test wickets in a season as an Indian wicketkeeper.
Rishabh Pant achieved this incredible feat in his 26th Test by catching Temba Bavuma behind the stumps. MS Dhoni and Saha played 36 Tests to achieve this figure.
Pant made his Test debut for India in 2018, and with his explosive batting down the order, he quickly established himself as an important member of the India Test squad.
Apart from this, he has been selected as the first 'ICC Player of the Month' in January this year.
