Tara Murali, a veteran architect and a strong advocate for urban and environmental conservation, died at her residence in Chennai. She was the wife of N. Murali, Director of The Hindu Group and President of The Music Academy. Over four decades, she contributed to causes like protecting Palani Hills and preserving historic structures such as Queen Mary’s College and the DGP’s office.
