  • This ban has been imposed on Masrat Alam faction of Muslim League Jammu and Kashmir.
  • This action has been taken under Section 3(1) of the UAPA Act, 1967.
  • This organization is involved in terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir and instigating people to support the establishment of Islamic rule there.
  • Apart from this the organization has been raising funds through various sources including Pakistan and its proxy organizations to support terrorist activities and stone pelting on security forces in Jammu and Kashmir.
