The name of Bengaluru airport is Kempegowda International Airport.
Recently Terminal 2 of this airport has been awarded as one of the most beautiful airports in the world
This award was presented by UNESCO.
It has been awarded the 'World Special Award for Interiors 2023'.
It is the only Indian airport to receive this recognition.
This terminal is built on four fundamental pillars.
It includes technological leadership, a terminal in a garden, environmental and ecological management and celebration of Karnataka's rich heritage and culture.
This terminal was inaugurated in November, 2022.
It is designed to accommodate 25 million passengers per year.
