Rahul Rasgotra has been made the new Director General of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) in December 2023.
The appointment of Rahul Rasgotra has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Union Cabinet.
Rahul Rasgotra has been appointed till September 30, 2025.
Indo-Tibetan Border Police was established in October 1962 AD.
This protects the border spread over the length of 2115 km of India-Nepal-China.
The motto of this force is 'Valour - Perseverance - Karma Nishtha'.
