Shri Somnath Trust is the trust for the management of Somnath temple and public welfare works.
Somnath temple is located in Saurashtra region of Gujarat.
Recently Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been elected the Chairman of Shri Somnath Trust.
He has been elected chairman of this trust for the third consecutive time.
For the first time, Narendra Modi was elected President of the Trust in the year 2021.
Narendra Modi has been made the chairman of the trust for 5 years.
This is the first time in the 74 year long history of Shri Somnath Trust that a Chairman has been selected for a five-year term.
