Neena Singh is a senior IPS officer.
Recently, the Appointments Committee of the Union Cabinet has appointed Neena Singh as the new Director General of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
Neena Singh is the first woman to become the Director General of CISF.
Before this she was the Additional Director General of CISF.
His tenure on the post of Director General will last till July 2024.
Neena Singh was also the first woman officer to hold the post of Director General in Rajasthan Police.
Central Industrial Security Force is a paramilitary force.
Its main function is to provide security to government factories and other government undertakings.
It was established in the year 1969.
It is working under the Home Ministry.
