The award has been given by the state's Responsible Tourism Mission for its sustainable and women-inclusive initiatives successfully promoted by the state.
Kerala has received this award in the category 'Best for Local Sourcing - Craft and Food'.
The State RT Mission has been selected for this award, the most valuable recognition given to sustainable and inclusive tourism initiatives.
It is given to connect women-led small and medium-sized enterprises with tourism activities and ensure effective marketing of indigenous products.
This award is given by the Responsible Tourism Partnership and the International Center for Responsible Tourism.
