Kanchan Devi has been appointed Director General of the Indian Council of Forestry Research Education in December 2023.
She is the first woman to become the Director General of this council.
Before this, she was posted as Deputy Director General (Education) in the Indian Council of Forestry Research Education.
Indian Council of Forestry Research Education was established in the year 1986 AD.
Its headquarters is located in Dehradun.
It is working under the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
