Indian Navy conducted exercise 'Prasthan' in December 2023.
This exercise was conducted off the Mumbai coast.
This exercise is done every 6 months.
This exercise is important in validating and refining the measures and procedures aimed at addressing various contingencies that may arise in oil production platforms.
Maharashtra Police, Customs, Fisheries Department, Mumbai Port Authority, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority, India Meteorological Department also participated in this exercise.
The objective of this exercise is to validate and refine measures and procedures to address contingencies in oil production platforms.
This exercise was organized by the Western Naval Command.
