  • Defense Research and Development Organization has recently successfully tested the indigenous high-speed flying wing.
  • This test was conducted at the Aeronautical Test Range located in Chitradurga, Karnataka.
  • With this flight in tailless configuration, India has joined the list of countries which have mastered the control of flying wing configuration.
  • Unmanned drones have demonstrated an excellent capability for autonomous landing without the need for ground radar/infrastructure/pilot.
  • The first successful flight of this aircraft was done in July 2022.
  • GPS in drone GPS Aided GEO Augmented Navigation Receiver has been used to improve the accuracy and completeness of navigation.
