Ayodhya Airport is an international airport under construction in Ayodhya district of Uttar Pradesh.
Recently the name of this airport has been changed to Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham.
Earlier its name was Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram Ayodhya Airport.
This airport will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister on 30 December.
The first phase of this state-of-the-art airport has been developed at a cost of more than Rs 1450 crore.
The area of the airport terminal building will be 6500 square meters.
It will be equipped to serve approximately 10 lakh passengers annually.
The façade of the terminal building reflects the architecture of the adjacent Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
The interiors of the terminal building are decorated with local art, paintings and frescoes depicting the life of Lord Shri Ram.
