  • On November 1, 3 projects were jointly inaugurated by the Indian Prime Minister and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
  • These three projects have been built with the cooperation of India.
  • These projects are – Akhaura-Agartala Cross-Border Rail Link, Khulna-Mongla Port Rail Line and Maitri Super Thermal Power Plant Unit II.
  • The total length of the Akhaura-Agartala cross-border rail link is 15 km.
  • Of this, 5 kilometers is in India and 10 kilometers is in Bangladesh.
  • This will ease the route to Agartala and Kolkata via Dhaka.
  • Khulna-Mongla Port Rail Line Project is a project connecting Mongla Port of Bangladesh.
  • India had given loan for this project in the year 2010.
  • Maitri Super Thermal Power Project was started in the year 2017.
  • It is manufactured by NTPC of India.
