The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has been selected for the Digital Transformation Award 2025 by Central Banking, London, UK.
The central bank was honoured for its digital initiatives, Pravah and Saarthi, which were developed by its in-house developer team.
"Sarthi" (January 2023) improved document management, data analysis and efficiency by digitizing RBI's internal workflows, leading to enhanced operational efficiency.
"Pravah" (May 2024) is an online portal that enables external users to submit regulatory applications to the RBI, making the process more transparent and cyber-secure.
Following the launch of "Pravah", over 2,000 applications were submitted online by the end of 2024, marking an 80% increase in the monthly application rate.
