  • The Punjab government has launched 'Project Hifazat', aimed at providing immediate assistance and protection to victims of violence against women and children. Under this project, the 181 women's helpline and 1098 children's helpline will be empowered. 
  • 'Project Hifazat' will work in collaboration with various government departments, including the Punjab Police, Health and Family Welfare Department, and Social Security, Women and Child Development Department. It will provide victims with legal aid, medical services, rehabilitation, and counseling.
