  • PM Modi and Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam jointly inaugurated the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Public Service and Innovation in Reduit, Mauritius.
  • This project promotes capacity building in Mauritius under the India-Mauritius development cooperation. 
  • Under the 2017 agreement, India provided a grant of 4.74 million US dollars. The institute will work on training civil servants, research, and excellence in public administration. 
  • This institute reflects India's credibility in the Indian Ocean region and its commitment to the Global South.
