  • The foundation stone for the Ganga Expressway of Uttar Pradesh has been laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
  • The expressway will be 594 kilometres long, with six lanes, and will cost more than Rs 36,200 crore to build.
  • This expressway will run from Meerut's Bijauli village to Prayagraj's Jodapur Dandu village.
  • It will run through the state districts of Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Budaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh, and Prayagraj.
  • On this expressway, a 3.5-kilometer-long airstrip will be built in Shahjahanpur to aid Air Force aircraft in emergency takeoff and landing.
  • This expressway will connect Uttar Pradesh's western and eastern areas, becoming the state's longest expressway.
