Portugal plans to introduce a "solidarity visa" allowing affluent foreigners to invest in property, aiming to aid migrants and provide residency rights to non-EU nationals.
This new visa will be an addition to Portugal's existing golden visa scheme, which has attracted significant foreign investment since its launch in 2012.
The golden visa scheme has successfully garnered over 7.3 billion euros ($7.94 billion) in investment funds, highlighting its economic benefits for Portugal.
