Under the Solar Mission in Nagaland, the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme will be implemented for the installation of rooftop solar panels in residential homes.
In a meeting chaired by State Chief Secretary Dr. J. Alam, a decision was made to form a Solar Mission Team and a Solar Mission Cell for the implementation of the scheme.
For the financial year 2025-26, the Nagaland government has allocated a budget of ₹10 crore for this scheme, promoting green energy in the state.
