Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for Vadhvan Port in Palghar, Maharashtra, which will be India's largest deep-water port with a 300 mta capacity.
The project involves ₹76,220 crore investment and aims to enhance connectivity, create jobs, and boost Maharashtra's economy.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the Vadhvan Port project on 30 August. The Vadhvan Port is set to be operational by 2030.
The port is strategically located 150 km from Mumbai and will have a capacity of 300 mta with 9 container terminals and 4 multipurpose berths.
