Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Assam Bioethanol Plant and laid the foundation for a Polypropylene Plant at Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL). The bioethanol plant, India’s first to use bamboo, supports green energy and benefits local farmers and tribal communities. PM Modi highlighted Assam’s role in strengthening India’s energy and petrochemical sectors and noted the government’s ₹18,000 crore developmental allocation for the state. These projects promote sustainable energy, industrial growth, and employment opportunities in the region.
