During his first bilateral visit to Ethiopia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded The Great Honour Nishan of Ethiopia, the country’s highest civilian recognition. Expressing pride, PM Modi said he accepted the honour on behalf of all Indians, acknowledging their role in strengthening India–Ethiopia ties. He also thanked Ethiopian PM Abiy Ahmed Ali for inviting him, recalling their meeting at the G20 Summit in South Africa. The visit further elevated bilateral relations to a Strategic Partnership.
