  • Mahtari Vandana Yojana will provide benefits to all eligible married women of the state, including widows, divorced and abandoned women.
  • In the first installment, 70 lakh women have been benefited, worth Rs 655 crore.
  • Under the Mahtari Vandana Yojana, mothers and sisters will be given one thousand rupees every month.
  • The Prime Minister distributed the first installment of the scheme during the program in Chhattisgarh and dedicated it to empowering women power.
