Mahtari Vandana Yojana will provide benefits to all eligible married women of the state, including widows, divorced and abandoned women.
In the first installment, 70 lakh women have been benefited, worth Rs 655 crore.
Under the Mahtari Vandana Yojana, mothers and sisters will be given one thousand rupees every month.
The Prime Minister distributed the first installment of the scheme during the program in Chhattisgarh and dedicated it to empowering women power.
