The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today visited the Sabarmati Ashram, and inaugurated the Kochrab Ashram.
He paid floral tributes at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi and visited Hriday Kunj.
The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the Sabarmati Ashram in a big way, and recalled the sacrifices made by it.
He also highlighted the importance of Sabarmati Ashram on March 12, the historic day of the freedom struggle.
He considered Bapu's ideals important even in today's era and promoted the self-reliant India campaign.
