The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, has been awarded India’s Best Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Institute for the second consecutive year. Conferred by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare at the ARISE 2025 national conclave in New Delhi, the award recognises PGIMER’s leadership in evidence-based, cost-effective, and equitable healthcare decision-making. Its HTA Resource Hub, led by Prof. Shankar Prinja, supports national health policies, including Ayushman Bharat–PMJAY, enhancing transparency, efficiency, and policy impact across India’s healthcare system.
