  • Assam inaugurated the first robotic surgery facility in Northeast India at the State Cancer Institute, Guwahati Medical College and Hospital, to enhance cancer care in the region.
  • The robotic surgery unit, launched by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, is equipped with modern facilities and will offer cost-effective and highly accurate cancer surgeries through "Made in India" systems.
