Assam inaugurated the first robotic surgery facility in Northeast India at the State Cancer Institute, Guwahati Medical College and Hospital, to enhance cancer care in the region.
The robotic surgery unit, launched by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, is equipped with modern facilities and will offer cost-effective and highly accurate cancer surgeries through "Made in India" systems.
