New Delhi has been officially confirmed as the host city for the 2026 Badminton World Championships, the premier event in international badminton. The announcement was made at the closing ceremony of the 2025 edition in Paris, marking the tournament’s much-awaited return to India after a gap of 17 years. India last hosted the championship in 2009 at Hyderabad. The 2026 edition, scheduled for August, will bring together the world’s top shuttlers who will battle for prestigious titles and crucial ranking points across singles, doubles, and mixed doubles categories.
