  • Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (MSIL) has announced the appointment of Sunil Kakkad as additional director and whole-time director. 
  • This is the first instance of the parent company Suzuki Motor Corporation nominating an Indian employee of the domestic company to its board of directors. 
  • He has been appointed as director (corporate planning) for a three-year term from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2028.
