Famous cricket commentator Mark Nicholas, who was also a cricketer, will become the next president of the prestigious President of Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).
The 65-year-old's term will begin on October 1, 2023 and last for one year.
His appointment was announced by current MCC president Stephen Fry at the Club’s Annual General Meeting.
Mark, who played as a top-order batter and medium-pace bowler for Hampshire and captained England A, was elected as a Member of MCC in 1981.
He was named as Sports Presenter of the Year in 2001 and 2005 by the Royal Television Society.
