Maharana Pratap Jayanti 2023 was celebrated on May 22.
It is observed mostly in Rajasthan, Maharana Pratap Jayanti celebrates the valour and bravery of one of the greatest kings that ruled India.
He was a Rajput king who ruled the kingdom of Mewar in Rajasthan, India from 1572 to 1597.
He was born on May 9, 1540, in Kumbhalgarh, Rajasthan.
The Battle of Haldighati was fought between Maharana Pratap and Akbar's forces in 1576.
In January, 1597, Maharana Pratap sustained a lot of injuries following a hunting accident, and succumbed to his wounds on January 29, same year.
Maharana Pratap hailed from the Sisodiya clan of Rajputs and dedicated his entire life for his nation, his people and his kingdom.
